THE 1st WALTZ

On Saturday June 14th, we are excited to be holding The 1st Waltz, a performance to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Leukemia Cup Regatta.

It will be an evening of outstanding live music at the historic Vail-Leavitt Theatre in Riverhead.

It is for a great cause at a very cool venue.

We have four acts:

  • The Red River Ramblers

  • The Circuit Breakers

  • Sandhya

  • Damaged Goods

plus some special guests.

An ecleltic mix of Rock and Roll, Folk, Blues and Country. Some original music and some familiar music done originally. The one thing I can promise, is that it will be fun.

Join us for what promises to be an outstanding evening. Please forward this announcement to anyone you think might enjoy coming.

Hopefully we will be doing more waltzes and I would love to include any who would like to participate

ARTICLE - DAN'S PAPERS, MAY 2007

The Vail Leavitt Has And Always Will Be A Space For Joy And Music

By Jessica Gould

The North Fork is so chock full of history. George Washington is known to have slept in a few local inns. Battles were fought in Fort Salonga and whalers launched their ships from the ports of Greenport.

Located in the heart of the town of Riverhead exists a theater that lives, breathes and knows Long Island history. To say that you-were going to the theater-was an event that featured your finest dress. Top hats and tails for men, long gowns for women. Sitting in the intimate Vail-Leavitt, you can’t help but imagine the elegance of the theatergoers and the energized feeling of a night at a show.-The Vail-Leavitt has existed for many generations and has quite a tale to tell.
